If you died today, do you know for certain that you are going to heaven?

Many say "I believe in God." or "I believe in Jesus." But what does that belief mean?

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it." (John 3:16-17)

If you believe you are a sinner, and that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead, you can be absolutely sure you will go to heaven if you put your trust in him - that is to accept and receive God's gifts of grace.

"God saved you by his special favor (grace) when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

You cannot earn your way into heaven by doing good deeds or even just being a "good person." Jesus has already paid the price. Your only "good work" is to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, knowing that he has done it all for you.

Won't you put your trust in Jesus Christ now? I does not require a walk down the aisle or any fancy ritual. You can pray for your forgiveness and salvation right now, right where you are. You can trust Him now and forever.

"I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may KNOW you have eternal life."

If you are uncertain, need prayer, would like to know more, or just need someone to talk to, please call 815 922-2212 to arrange a time.

Peace be with you!
