Healing through loss and change
Leader: Clarice A. Schultz RN, BSN, Psychology

Twelve people were blessed by the program in 2010. We are already anticipating scheduling the class once again in the fall of 2011. This program is open to all people of any faith in the Braidwood area.

The six week class is offered to assist yourself and/or others in going through the process of loss and change. Intervention methods are taught which are related to the culteral and emotional aspects of dying, grieving, sudden death, grieving children, and caregiving.

Some of the topics to be discussed include:

  • Identifying the areas of loss and grief
  • Techniques for interacting with the dying and their families
  • Living with grief
  • What is normal grief?
  • Gender differences in grief expression
  • Handling the holidays
  • More

Even if you are not able to attend every session, you are still welcome. One or two classes can still be beneficial. Come for yourself - invite a friend in need.

Class schedules will be determined at a later date. There is a one time $40 non-refundable love offering to participate.
